Removing my tonsils for sleep apnea; how much pain will I be in and how long will it take to recover? - tonsils removed in adults sleep apnea

I am 20 years suffer from moderate sleep apnea. I am willing to be on a CPAP. My doctor advised me to take my tonsils could solve my apnea because they are large. I mean, it's worse to remove tonsils, if you are an adult, then I wonder how much pain I am and how long will it take for my recovery and solid food and talking resume. I had a septoplasty a year ago and was not too bad, but I'm afraid not.

Get a second opinion from a board-certified sleep specialists and is a neurologist or pulmonologist. ENT surgery always wanted. Surgery is painful with adult patients who had to do and regret have to speak. My doctor told me that the treatment is always Pap Why should go ahead.

The surgery is less than 50 percent effective. Are you sure that the only area of the blockage is tonsils. Can you guarantee that the scar is not an obstacle.

Best wishes

I look at some of the research, whether they actually tonsils has been shown to help sleep apnea. Me and the CPAP is not really so bad. For .. Tonsillectomy Is it wise to cut a part of your body, if it is the source of the infection and so on? If they see fit, then you can count on about ten days before they are completely normal again 3 days, you are very bad.

I remember when I had my tonsils, I was more disappointed when I told him the right ice cream after the operation, as she had promised. I was in the 3rd Year, and I remember most about him.

I know that Gatorade the best thing is to drink, the cool and refreshing. I ate mashed potatoes the night of my surgery. I remember that a couple of days hurt, I had a sore throat very badly, but nothing serous

You have a sore throat for a few days, but this decline. You will receive medication to help with pain and grief. And you can ice! The benefits do not outweigh the good two days. And if it saves you the best CPAP.
God bless you.

A terrible sore throat for a few days, then quickly becomes better. They speak with caution on the following day, and probably quite normal in a week.
